Corporate Social Responsibility
As part of a global network of companies our responsibilities are focused on the communities in which we operate, the environment which surrounds us, the social structures that depend on us and the relationships with suppliers and business partners which equally effect all of the above mentioned elements of our world.
We continuously strive to incorporate our corporate responsibility within our business strategy so that we are able to provide services that exceed expectations but are also ethically acceptable in a multitude of diverse cultures.
Commitment to Training
At Bournes we believe that well trained and educated staff are the key to providing excellent service, that’s why we invest heavily in the continuous training and development of our employees throughout the company.
Removals Operatives:
At our own in house training school our removals operatives receive induction training led by BAR qualified Instructors that covers basic skills and health and safety and as they progress their careers they increase their knowledge and skills by completing up to 23 specific modules, tailored to each aspect of the moving process.
Sales & Move Management Staff:
On joining Bournes all sales and move management staff complete and initial period of training before beginning their role which is followed by further on the job training and a period of supervision by an experienced mentor.
In addition to internal training systems following FIDI guidelines Bournes employees also participate in training programmes from industry and non industry bodies such as FIDI and the British Association of Removers amongst others to develop understanding as well as enhance and update skills. We also participate in regular forums such as FIDI’s Leaders in International Moving forum to play our part in developing the industry for the future.
